Article Title: Double action of HPMCAS as a dry binder and precipitation inhibitor in ASD tablet formulations of nifedipine prepared by hot-melt extrusion
doi: 10.1016/j.ijpx.2025.100475
Figure Lengend Snippet: In vitro dissolution studies of ASD milled extrudates of NIF with and without pre-dissolved polymers in the dissolution media (mean ± SD, n = 3). A: ASD milled extrudates of NIF in dissolution media with no pre dissolved polymer (only PBS); B: NIF: AS-LMP (1:2) in PBS and dissolution media with different polymer solution of 100 μg/mL; C: NIF: AS-LMP (1:4) in PBS and dissolution media with different polymer solution of 100 μg/mL; D: NIF: PVP-VA64 (1:6) in PBS and dissolution media with different polymer solution of 100 μg/mL.
Article Snippet: To confirm the amorphous nature of the ASD milled extrudates, samples of 3–5 mg of NIF:AS-LMP (1:2) or (1:4), NIF:PVP-VA64 (1:6) milled extrudates, NIF, AS-LMP, PVP-VA64 and their physical mixture were weighed, compressed into an aluminum pan and transferred to a Perkin Elmer DSC-6000 (Shelton, CT) coupled with a refrigerated cooling system.
